The 6th Floor is music recording band from the United States. The rock band, from New York, consists of members who all have a background in studying music NYU. They perform a variety of music such as; indie pop, alternative rock, pop rock and much more. The 6th Floor premiered the video for their song "Star" which was released on May 1, 2022.
Star is a song is about someone who is upset due to a break up with a significant other. They feel this happens too often and wonder why or what could they have done better as its noted they did everything they were suppose to. Now they feel alone and are looking for something to numb the pain and forget this person; though drinking and being with someone new seems to help at first, they still go back to missing this person. He reflects on the negativity they brought to him and how now that they're gone he is left with them. And instead of feeling self pity he decided to go out and at least try to feel better.
The 6th Floor premiered the music video for their song "Star", which was produced by Rosalie Hernandez, on May 9, 2022. Directed, shot, and edited by Zhanel Ibragimova, the video shows the importance of your friends when you're feeling down. It starts with a man sitting with flowers presumably waiting for a date and is seemingly stood up. As he's walking he is joined with a group of people seeing he is down and they make the most of their time and cheer him up having fun on a roof top which later seems to turn into a party. It shows somewhat of an inspiration for the song as the video cuts to the band performing this song at different venues. They chose to have a vintage picture for the video as if it were shot with a camcorder from the late 80s early 90s; this gives a reminiscing vibe to the video.
